About DMD and Optimization for AI, Data Science and Control Applications 2018 Generally people think that AI and Data Science is a mix of statistical methods and Computer Science. But truth lies light years away from this popular notion. AI and data Science is now galloping by synthesizing ideas from many domains such as biology, neuro-science Psychology , Linguistics and Fluid Dynamics, taking humanity to a new era of civilization which tries to invade the vast ocean of space beyond our solar system. For example Dynamic Mode decomposition is a method originated in Fluid dynamics and is now emerging as a powerful tool for spatio-temporal data Analytics and also as a tool for control of complex Non-linear dynamical systems. With the advancement in Computational Sciences and novel measurement technologies, it is now possible to arrive at governing partial differential equations of dynamical systems from the data alone. This workshop aims to expose the budding AI engineers into these topics. We are conducting this because of the demand from many industries for AI and Computationally enabled Engineers. The primary target audience of the workshop is MTech/M.Sc students, research scholars and faculty. We hope to have an interactive session, with a free exchange of ideas, views and comments.
